Mobile internet has been very popular and many websites have transformed their pages to mobile interface , known as wapsite. Facebook has its mobile version. Twitter has Twitter mobile, and my blog DavidKhoirul.comalso has two versions: Desktop & mobile.
As the internet grows, many mobile devices are designed to access the virtual world. Mobile phone is one of them. More than 10 billion Indonesians access the internet from their phone,using mobile browser applications such as Opera Mini and Bolt .
Website builder services also start to go mobile, allowing users to create their wapsites from cell phone. Among the many mobile website builders, Wen.Ru is my favorite although it can't be accessed from Firefox browser; its wml stops certain browsers like Firefox to open the page, and instead of displaying it, Firefox will direct you to download the page as a wml file. You can access WenRu from your phone and from Opera Mini.
WenRu is based in Russia. No wonder it has two site languages, i.e., English and Russia. I made my first WenRu site when I was still a college student at Universitas Ronggolawe (UNIROW Tuban) in 2007. I created it from Sony Ericsson T630.
How to create an account on WenRu
To make a Wen.Ru account, click this link . Type your username in the username box and select a domain name. The domain names include wen.ru, wen9.com, wen9.net, nab.su, kan.su, fiz.su, etc, and when you're doneclick Create.
Whenever you want to login to your account, usethe site management link in WenRu homepage.
How to make a new page on WenRu
Your account has been created. Now it's time for you to start building your mobile page. This processwill take some easy steps and doesn't require HTML knowledge. Once you're logged in, you can access your account page by clicking the wExplorer link. A new page appears. Click Add >> Create page . You'll see three types of file: WML, HTML and XHTML. Select your page type. I suggest you to use HTML. This is a more suitable file type for advanced mobile browsers -- which, I think, have been available in all phones andJava applications. When you're done with the file type, press Create . Name your file index so itwill appear as the default page of your site.
How to edit my mobile page
Editing is easy. I told you earlier that you don't need any html knowledge . Here's how to do it.
After you create your newhtml page, you'll be brought to an editing page where you can add text, link, image and align. To add a text or a link, press align >> paste after. Pressing the pasteafter allows you to add a new element: text, link, image or align. Select your own element.
You can manage and organize the elements in your own style, in the structure that is good for your mobile site.
You can also choose to edit your file in HTML mode by pressing the HTML code link under the Paste After.web counter
